A powerful story set in the morally complex and richly drawn world of contemporary South Africa. Filmed on location in Cape Town with a stunning cast. Broadcast as the final episodes in the series in Feb 2010.
Dr Alexander (Emilia Fox) has been hired to examine the remains of the “Kensington Five”, a group of dissidents rounded up and murdered by security forces during the Apartheid era. She works alongside Anton (Rapulana Seiphemo) with whom she is romantically involved. In a parallel plot line, a 15-year-old girl from Zimbabwe is deported from Britain to Cape Town, despite the best efforts of Professor Dalton (William Gaminara) to help her to gain asylum. One way and another, the two episodes develop into an involved story of corruption, greed and politics.
